CEO

Markus SEISER, PhD, majored in Electrical Engineering at the Graz University of Technology. After completing his studies, he joined Landis&Gyr where he worked as a project engineer and project manager for several years. He wrote his doctoral thesis on the optimization of energy utilization within the framework of a customer project. As a co-founder of IRM in 1999 he was responsible for establishing the Product and Project Management teams (focussing on physical trade and risk management), for defining the product portfolio and for the development of the IRM trading software. He has been board member since 2000 and became CEO of IRM in 2001 and is now Managing Director of the company.

CTO

Elisabeth BAKANY majored in Business Administration and Computer Science at the University of Vienna. Until 1994, she worked as a software developer, analyst and project leader at the IIASA (International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis), focussing on the creation of information and decision-support systems. Afterwards she joined ETM AG (automation technology) where she was responsible for the GUI team and the whole software development department. From 1999 to 2004 she established the software development team for front-office systems at ecetra (online broker). Since the end of 2004, Ms. Bakany holds the position of CTO at IRM.
